Coniston Wall Mounted Canopy

by Able Canopies Ltd.

The Coniston creates shelter from rain and snow and shade from the sun with high UV protection; it also helps to keep your building's interior cool by shading windows and deterring unwanted heat and glare indoors during the bright or sunny weather. And as it is a wall mounted canopy, it offers uninterrupted cover from inside to outside; this is of particular benefit to Early Years Settings and Primary schools as it allows year-round free-flow play and outdoor learning, whatever the weather is doing.

It is a fully aluminium canopy system which does not use any uPVC - giving you a canopy with ultimate strength and longevity with a life expectancy of up to 25 years. We offer a 10 year guarantee on the Coniston giving you extra piece of mind that you are investing in a product which is built to last.

The Coniston can be any length, there really is no limit and it can wrap around the complete perimeter of your building. It can project up to 6 metres from its supporting wall, allowing you to shelter large areas easily with a minimum amount of posts, and for the most cost effective price.

This wall mounted canopy benefits from robust integral aluminium guttering with aluminium downpipes which means the Coniston can be installed extremely quickly with minimium disruption to you, and it means gutter maintenance has never been easier!

Yes. We only use high quality 35mm polycarbonate panels from the UK’s leading manufacturer – Brett Martin, ensuring our systems are classified as non-fragile and comply with the ACR[M]001:2014 ‘Test for Non-Fragility of Profiled Sheeting Roofing Assemblies’, achieving a B classification which is the highest rating possible for a polycarbonate roof.

This means that our 35mm roofing system has passed a ‘drop test’, which replicates the load of a person accidentally falling onto the roof assembly. This involves retaining a dropped load after two drops and that there are no signs of any damage to the roof assembly that will affect the roof’s long-term weather resistance. However, although our polycarbonate panels are light in weight and up to 200 times stronger than glass, it is important to remember that the polycarbonate sheets should never be walked on without the use of boards.

There is no requirement in current building regulations to specify a non-fragile roofing system for a canopy, although we would always recommend our high quality 35mm system which has been designed to withstand the worst of the British weather, including high winds and snow loading. You can find out more detailed information on pages 10-14 in our canopy brochure.
