Channel 4's 'Escape to the Chateau' follows the adventures of Dick and Angel Strawbridge and their two young children as they renovate a derelict French chateau and its extensive grounds and outbuildings. Now in its sixth series, the programme follows the trials, tribulations and successes of this inspiring couple as they renovate their home and run a successful business.
Westminster Stone are thrilled that Angel chose our aged National Trust Hidcote Flagstones for part of their latest renovations. We supplied 25 tonnes of paving which is seen arriving at the Chateau and laid to the front of the property to form a stunning new terrace. A later episode sees Dick use the rest of the paving to create a patio at the Orangery in the grounds of the Chateau, used for the family's successful wedding business.
The soft cream and buff colouring and gentle aged appearance form the perfect backdrop to period properties and has rightly made Hidcote flagstones one of our best sellers. Part of the prestigious National Trust Landscape Collection, the Cotswold Manor range is inspired by beautiful Hidcote Manor in the Cotswolds and provides an instant maturity. Hidcote Flagstones can also be laid internally to create softly aged flooring.
