Vents are normally required when roofing membranes are laid on concrete screeds in which moisture may be retained from the construction process. The vents release vapour pressure, thus avoiding blistering of the membrane. The roofing membrane is dressed over the circular flange of the T-Vent, forming a watertight seal.
These vents are suitable for installation in built up or asphalt roofing, and allow water vapour to escape from the structure and are available in either EPDM or PVC.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Vulcan Roof Glazing Systems is consulted before specifying.
