Plate heat exchangers

Manufactured to the highest standard of quality Vaillant plate Heat Exchangers are designed to separate system water from the boiler. Fitting a plate heat exchanger is the ideal solution where it is impossible to guarantee system cleanliness and therefore water quality through the boiler.
It is particularly suitable for older applications where the systems cannot be pressurised. By separating the boiler from the system, the integrity of the boiler is maintained and it can operate as a pressurised system whilst still allowing the boiler to operate on an existing open-vented system. However, care must be taken to ensure that the system water circulating through the plate is filtered and treated accordingly. Using a plate heat exchanger will protect the boiler, minimise possible down time whilst maintaining the boiler at its highest efficiency throughout its life span.
It is mandatory to install a plate heat exchanger on all ecoTEC plus 80,100 and 120kW and all cascade systems.
