To create a deep, dramatic skirting you can combine skirting and railing profiles to extend a feature up your wall. Products can butt up to one another, but more usually they would be spaced, as shown in the pictures below. Skirting runs in the usual position. You then leave a space before installing a railing and then, if you wish, a further railing above that. Tailor the height of your feature by simply adjusting the position of your railings. You then paint the mouldings and space between them the same colour. This visually combines all elements into one feature. Below we show a few popular combinations, but you can easily create your own.
