Valor Park Commercial Estate in Beckton, Greater London is a prime multi-urban logistics hub made up of 16 modern warehouse units. As part of a commitment to sustainable transport and tenant wellbeing, the estate required a secure, high-capacity cycle storage solution capable of supporting growing active travel demand, enhancing ESG performance, complementing the park's modern industrial design, and providing long-term durability with minimal maintenance.

BSC worked in close partnership with Glencar and Valor Park to design, manufacture, and install a custom suite of cycle shelters — now established in BSC's product range as the Habitat Panel Shelter — across multiple locations throughout the estate. Each unit was tailored in size, capacity, and specification to meet the requirements of individual locations, while maintaining a consistent, high-quality finish and shared sustainability standards throughout.

A range of shelter sizes was manufactured to optimise capacity across the site. All units were constructed with hot-dipped galvanised steel frames to BS EN ISO 1461:2022 for maximum corrosion protection, finished with heavy-duty profile roofs and powder-coated fascia for a modern, durable appearance. Shelters were fitted with single and double-leaf swing gates, ready for access control integration. Internally, a combination of galvanised Sheffield Cycle Stands and Gas Assisted Two-Tier Cycle Racks maximises capacity, with EasyGrip Handles and lower channels specified for safe, user-friendly lifting.

Sustainability was integral to every unit. Wildflower sedum roofs provide rainwater management and encourage pollinators, while integrated habitat panels — formed from gabion baskets with bird boxes and untreated hardwood timbers — offer valuable microhabitats for urban wildlife. Riverstone drainage borders further enhance durability and biodiversity across the site. Every element was designed, engineered, and manufactured in Britain, with shelters baseplated to pre-prepared concrete slabs for fast, efficient installation.

Valor Park now benefits from premium, future-proof cycle storage facilities that encourage tenants to choose cycling over car commuting, strengthening the estate's sustainability credentials and providing robust, low-maintenance infrastructure.
