Stafford Yard is a major residential development forming part of the wider Bedminster Green regeneration, which aims to deliver high-quality homes and sustainable transport links to one of Bristol's fastest-evolving districts. With active travel positioned at the heart of the development strategy, Dandara appointed BSC to design, supply, and install a complete cycle storage and end-of-trip solution across multiple buildings.

Working in collaboration with ECE Westworks, BSC's in-house design team developed a configuration that maximised usable space while maintaining safe access routes, ventilation requirements, and coordination with surrounding plant and containment systems. The solution needed to accommodate varying user needs through a combination of multiple rack formats, individual lockers, and integrated maintenance provisions.

Gas-Assisted Two-Tier Cycle Racks form the backbone of the cycle store, providing maximum density without compromising usability, with effortless lifting and smooth operation suited to residents of all abilities. Vertical Bike Lockers expanded capacity further, offering single-bike, space-saving storage for smaller residents' stores and staff areas, while Folding Bike Lockers in dedicated bays serve the growing number of Brompton-style folding bike users — each offering full-height enclosed security, digital or key-locking options, ventilated steel construction, and clear internal organisation. Sheffield Stands provide the reliable, low-maintenance core of ground-level bicycle parking, with wheel and frame locking points, pedestrian-friendly spacing, and a corrosion-resistant galvanised finish. Maintenance Stations were positioned at key points within the stores, each equipped with eight tethered tools, a heavy-duty floor pump, a universal mounting system, and tamper-resistant fixings, enabling cyclists to service bikes independently and supporting long-term cycling habits. Bespoke Clothing Lockers complete the end-of-trip environment, with full carcass alignment, colour-matched screw caps, freely running doors and hinges, fitted plinths, and laminate checked throughout for finish quality.

Every product was supplied with a 10-year product warranty, a 12-month installation defects warranty, full QA documentation, handover packs, and conformity certificates covering the entire installation. BSC's coordinated approach ensured alignment with the development's fire strategy, drainage layouts, service containment routes, and structural considerations. The project was delivered on programme, with every component Made in Britain and installed by BSC's in-house team.

Stafford Yard now provides a modern, secure, and resident-first cycling environment that supports active travel goals, local sustainability ambitions, resident wellbeing, and Bristol's long-term transport strategy. By combining high-capacity communal storage with secure personal lockers and a robust end-of-trip amenity, the development sets a new benchmark for residential cycle infrastructure across the region.
