The Bike Storage Company partnered with Higgins Construction to deliver a bespoke bike and bin storage solution at Grange Farm, a major residential development in Harrow, London. As part of their commitment to sustainability and community wellbeing, Higgins required a durable, eco-friendly, and visually cohesive storage system for residents.

The challenge involved three core requirements: accommodating multiple units within limited space while maintaining clear access and visual harmony; ensuring long-term protection against theft and weather exposure; and blending the installation seamlessly with the residential surroundings through sustainable, design-led materials.

The solution combined Amazon Eco 2 Cycle Lockers and Amazon Eco Bin Stores, both finished with FSC-certified timber cladding to create a coordinated, natural aesthetic across the development.

The Amazon Eco 2 Cycle Lockers were constructed on a hot-dip galvanised steel structure to BS EN ISO 1461:2009, providing superior rust protection and long-term durability. FSC-certified timber battens gave the units a natural, eco-friendly finish, while front swing gates with hasp and staple locks provided secure yet straightforward access. A powder-coated metal roof completed the specification with weather resistance and a clean finish.

The Amazon Eco Bin Stores were built to the same galvanised frame and timber cladding specification, maintaining design consistency across both product types. Hinged rear roof access allowed residents and waste teams to use the facilities efficiently without compromising security or appearance.

Thirty-two ground anchors were installed across both products following full site scanning to avoid buried services, providing anti-lift stability throughout. Matching powder-coated mitred steel angle roof trims ensured seamless visual integration between units. Delivery was managed as a single-hit operation to minimise on-site congestion, and installation was completed with zero disruption to existing residents.

The completed installation comprised 16 cycle lockers and eight bin stores across the development — providing spacious, secure, and easy-to-use storage backed by lockable access points and hinged roofs. The FSC-certified timber cladding complemented the surrounding architecture while reinforcing the development's eco-conscious design goals.
