PlayBound is a pigmented rubber that offers a range of fun, colourful surfacing options suitable for many applications such as footpaths, sports tracks, play areas, splash zones, outdoor activity zones, gyms, and more.
The way in which resin bound is installed means that creating logo designs and patterns using PlayBound materials is very achievable.
PlayBound is made from pigmented 3mm size rubber granules that are bound together by resin.

You will need the following information:
• Product code: e.g. L2054/00 (found on the back of our colour samples)
• Description: nominal size (e.g. 3mm), colour, texture, and application
• Depth: this will be dependent on the type of application (e.g. 16mm)
Colour samples are posted to you on request. To quote for PlayBound EPDM surfacing, we will need to know the size of the area in m², the type of application (e.g. park, pool surround, tree surround) and the colour you require.

PlayBound is a loose coloured rubber (3mm) that is mixed with a clear stable resin. Playbound is also known EPDM or rubber crumb and it’s smooth but has good slip resistance values, durable and needs very little maintenance; sweeping, and occasional power washing to avoid the build-up of debris and prevent the growth of moss or algae.
PlayBound would be laid onto a shock base layer when installing around play equipment to ensure the correct safety measures are taken for any critical fall heights.
If the PlayBound recycled black were used a shock base layer wouldn’t be needed.
SureSet permeable paving and PlayBound comes with a 5 year guarantee if installed by an approved team of contractors. The resin technology suggests it will last in excess of 10 years.
Yes, you can. The depths of the rubber base beneath will vary in accordance with our critical fall height specification.
