Shade sails

Orion Shade sails mainly utilise the hyperbolic parabloid sail, the most common and simplest of all tensile structures. The hypar shade sail is achieved by raising diagonally opposite corners of a cover to create twist. This not only produces a beautiful shape, it also means the opposing tensions keep the sail tight, even with large spans.
Great as individual sails or laid out in a modular grid to cover large areas, the sail is possibly the most cost effective shade structure available. Options are available for shade cover only or waterproof protection, and all our shade sails are custom designed and certified.
