Planums in Blackstone

When looking for a modern looking alternative to slate this project's developers and client turned to the Planum in Blackstone. With a defined riven face and a high precision finish the Planum offered not just the right look but came in under budget. One of the issues was that some of the roof was only pitched at 12 degrees, so by choosing the Planum the whole property could be completed using the same product throughout without the need for additional weatherproofing systems or products on the very low pitch.

Making use of the clay cloak verge and interlocking dry ridge system meant the whole roof met the new standards laid out in the BS5534:2014 update and the newly introduced BS8612 standard for mortar free installations.
