New Soprema Façades range makes it easier to achieve building air-tightness

Soprema has been your one-stop-shop for everything relating to roofing and waterproofing for many years. Now we are expanding both our products and our service with a façades range that makes it easier to achieve the air-tightness performance required to meet the passive house or near passive house standards.

THE PRODUCTS IN OUR FAÇADES RANGE

Determined as always to meet the current requirements of the market, we talked to specifiers, architects, contractors, and many other professionals involved in the façades industry. As a result, our façades range consists of everything you need today:

• AVCL Vertical: an air and vapour control layer to vertical surfaces,
• SOPRASEAL STICK VP: a self-adhesive vapour and air barrier membrane. It can be used on most building surfaces, such as masonry, concrete, wood and gypsum, helping you achieve air-tightness on the exterior of your building rather than via the interior. With its unmatched adhesive properties, SOPRASEAL STICK VP is very easy to handle, cut and install, with no primer required. A solution that sticks to the façade rather than a product you need to hang from the wall, it also makes it easier to achieve the required level of air-tightness,
• ACS THERMAL CLIPS, available in solid and adjustable configurations. Their unique, patented design includes a thermal barrier strip that stops the heat from being transferred via the metal, thereby significantly reducing thermal bridging in the façade. The adjustable clips are easy to fix and to adjust to the thickness of the insulation layer,
• various insulation options, including the non-combustible insulation needed for buildings that measure 18 metres or more in height, according to Regulation 7, Approved Document B (with changes in height restrictions for combustible cladding on buildings above 11 metres being currently proposed),
• façade renders,
• a range of sealants to make sure that even junctions that cannot be taped are nevertheless completely sealed,
• the tapes and accessories needed to complete your façade system.
