A versatile Timber product, chipboard is made by gluing together wood particles under heat and pressure to create a rigid board with a relatively Smooth surface. Chipboard is available in a number of densities from normal to high.
Lower density chipboard is often used for laminated work surfaces and fire doors while high-density, hardwearing chipboard is generally used as for kitchen unit carcases as well as flooring.
We stock a range of chipboard for all kinds of building work. From tough grade, moisture resistant flooring chipboard to standard grade board - ideal for constructing furniture Shelving and Worktops. In addition, we stock the Egger Protect tongue and groove laying system designed to reduce installation times and minimise squeaking floors.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Rowan Timber is consulted before specifying.
