Access Control - AR-661U Proximity Reader

This long range Wiegand proximity reader is ideal for car parks and similar locations where the Entry Reader must be capable of being read at a distance. The reader can also be used for various secure buildings, including schools, colleges and universities where staff wish to pass freely to and fro without having to swipe or present a token or card attached to a lapel or neck-cord.

The AR-661U can be used as part of an anti passback system with a Controller/Reader AR727H or similar device or as a simple Entry Reader connected to a remote AR-727H acting as a Master Controller.

This reader has operated successfully on cable runs to the Master Controller in excess of 30metres. However, if difficulties are experienced, a Wiegand Repeater AR-WGREP should be fitted to the cable run at 10metre intervals.

Warning: This Reader should NOT be mounted directly on or close to a metal surface otherwise the reading range will be severely affected! Suitable stand-off Brackets or spacers will overcome this problem.
