The PRECISION adjustable frame has been shortlisted for the Product Innovation of the Year category in the London Construction Awards.
The London Construction Awards are organised by London Build, the UK’s leading construction show which will take place on 16-17th November this year.
The annual London Construction Awards celebrate the achievements, developments and innovation across the construction industry in London. There are 20 different award categories covering suppliers, contractors, architects, civil engineers, developers and housebuilders.
The Product Innovation of the Year award category is aimed at companies offering a product for the built environment that has innovation at its core. The judges are looking for products that are unique, advance the industry or innovate the field in which a business operates. They require hard evidence that the product has delivered clear benefits to the business and clients.
Profab Access’ revolutionary PRECISION adjustable frame system was developed in response to contractor feedback and upcoming legislative updates regarding the fire integrity of building products.
The PRECISION adjustable frame is the result of significant investment by Profab Access. The objective was to help architects, specifiers, contractors and installers to achieve the highest standards in construction excellence.
Launched in May 2021 the PRECISION Adjustable Frame launched is the only product of its kind available on the UK market. It is bi-directionally fire tested and certified by an accredited third party, Warrington Fire, and CERTIFIRE accredited up to two hours when installed in solid and flexible shaft walls.
The PRECISION adjustable frame is supplied as standard with the Profab Access INTEGRA 4000 Series Fire Rated Riser Doors. It offers several benefits:-
The adjustable frame extends to the full size of the structural opening
No plastic packers are required, which enables a safer, faster and simpler installation process
The PRECISION adjustable frame is factory fitted with an integral intumescent strip to provide fire stopping between the wall and frame, eliminating the need for the application of intumescent mastic bead.
Removing the need for packers and intumescent mastic facilitates increased and sustained on-site productivity and reduces the margin for error during the installation process.
As fire integrity performance has been sufficiently documented by an independent assessor installations are future-proofed by achieving the highest possible standards of compliance and performance.
The Profab Access team is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Product Innovation Award and is looking forward to the Awards evening on 23rd September 2022.
