BIG Install

Work is progressing well at one of our projects in Bedford, where we’re currently delivering the full acoustic fencing package across both the South and North‑West boundaries of the site. It’s a complex installation, particularly along the South fence, which sits on top of a sheet‑piled retaining wall rising up to seven metres above ground level. The changing levels and restricted access have made this a challenging but rewarding phase of the project.

Our team on the ground, led by South East Regional Manager Rod Vera, has been pushing the works forward with real momentum. We’re moving through the full scope, from supplying and installing the galvanised steel support posts to the ongoing installation of the timber acoustic panels designed to achieve up to 28dB noise reduction. Groundworks for the North‑West fence — including excavations and concrete foundations — are also well underway, forming the base for the next stages of fencing installation. Across both fence lines, the team continues to complete all detailing, trims, fixings and protective finishes to ensure a durable and consistent final result.

With around 541 metres of fencing on the South boundary and 215 metres on the North‑West, there’s still plenty of work ahead, but the progress so far has been strong and the system is really starting to take shape thanks to the effort and commitment of everyone involved
