RH290-2 Anti Theft Post Box

The model RH290-2 anti theft postbox is a horizontal unit manufactured from 2mm thick galvanised steel or Stainless Steel. Letter boxes units are usually manufactured from 1.2mm steel, and although robust enough for normal everyday use, they don't normally tolerate sustained acts of malicous damage or attempted theft via hammer or screwdrivers. Although no post box is infallible, the model RH290-2 has nearly double the amount of material in its construction, making it a particularly robust letter box. It also comes with a tough, secure cylinder lock, which is a 10 disc construction rather than the 5 disc system used by most postbox manufacturers. As a measure of quality, there are 2,000 different key combinations. As such, the RH290-2 is well suited for high risk external environments where Mailboxes may be prone to attempts of mail theft or malicious damage. It is a virtually theft proof letterbox. Of particular importance with horizontal mailboxes is the 'anti-fishing' qualities of the unit. The RH290-2 has an anti-withdrawl plate angled at 45 degrees and is substantial enough to prevent would be thieves from reaching through the aperture and being able to touch the bottom of the mailbox. This is one of the tests conducted during the Secured By Design inspection - one which many external horizontal mailboxes fail. Not the RH290-2. Its anti-withdrawl baffle stops would theives from being able to pilfer mail by hand through the aperture. And with regular use, the mail sits much lower than the aperture of the mailbox, making it virtually impossible to 'fish' mail via the aperture, even with the use of implements. It has dimensions of 290mm width, 200mm height and a standard 380mm depth, and is a front-entry front-retrieval unit (in-front, out-front). Where applicable, it complies to Secured By Design requirements (clauses 21.19 and 24.6). The model RH290-2 heavy duty post box is designed to built into a bank of mailboxes. The RH290-2 is available in any RAL finish, many of which are stock. It is also available in any other (non-stock) RAL finish for which there is a small additional charge. It is also available in brushed stainless steel. Suitable for both internal and external use with a choice of different casings, surrounds and support legs, the RH290-2 has a very high security Eurolock cylinder with 2000 differs and each unit comes complete with 2 keys. It can also be fitted with an internal fire extinguisher. This is a much more economical solution to specifying a bank of fire rated letterboxes.
