Fire Rated Internal Timber Screens

PDS timber screens are manufactured in-house in a range of made to measure, bespoke designs with potentially numerous timber and Glass combinations, finishes and specifications, covering the full spectrum of fire integrity and insulation stipulations.

Fire integrity and insulation rated glass helps prevent the increase of room temperature and enables access to escape paths and exits in the event of fire. Timber screens are delivered pre-painted in an opaque colour, such as white, to harmonize interior finishes, or stained / clear lacquered to enhance the wood's natural grain and provide a coherent blend with veneered Flush Doors, which are very often fitted in adjacent areas.

Due to the size and weight of screens, to enable handling and fitting on site, these will usually be supplied with the glass loose for glazing on site. All glass will be clearly marked with the location to assist fitting. With the loose glass these must be glazed correctly to ensure compliance, full glazing instructions will be supplied with the screens.
