Paris Ceramics sources its antique terracotta tiles from the south and west of France.
Salvaged from period buildings, the tiles are at least 150 years old and were virtually all fired in wood burning kilns giving them their varied colour and less uniform texture than tiles fired in gas or coal fired kilns.........giving them the colour and patina of tiles which have been in place for centuries. Moulded by hand, which gives them their interesting texture, the tiles reflect the colour of terracotta native to their region; from the yellows of Bordeaux to the warm pinks of the south west - an unmistakeable signature of provence.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Paris Ceramics is consulted before specifying.
