B2 Building Paper

This is our traditional non-reinforced black PE-coated kraft Building Paper used within the construction industry, and meets the requirements of BS 1521, grade B2 (Class B without reinforcement).Unlike many other recent developments in building membranes (eg breathable roof underlays), BS 1521 does not give guidance on suitable use, and as such this product is a generic material, used primarily in a wide range of end-user defined applications.However, some typical usage for B2 has naturally evolved over time including for example, temporary protection, concrete shuttering, floor screed break layers and as an external cladding render backing in Timber frames. It is an excellent low-cost material with good grease and solvent resistance.Novia B2 is not suitable for permanent installations where it is required to perform any task on an ongoing basis. For these applications choose either Novia A1F or Novia Polybit building paper.
