Alaska White Granite

Alaska White granite is a natural stone with creamy, darker brown and grey hues, neutral tones and coarse grains, containing crystalline areas that bring a sophisticated finish to any space in which it is displayed. Colours of this patchy patterned granite vary from medium-grey to very light creamy-white colour, making up to around 30% of its pattern composition. Alaska White Granite is quarried in the regions of Espirito Santo, Castelo in Brazil practically to every corner of the globe including the UK and Europe. Alaska White is classified as granite rock which due to its mineral make up and composition including igneous rocks formed by slow crystallization of Magma on the Earth s crust. Alaska White is a similar stone to Bianco Antico Granite or Delicatus granite although due to slight differences these are technically different colours of natural granite stone. Granite is mainly composed of pure quartz, mica and other natural minerals which compose this well-known granular stone, used by people since the ancient times of Egypt. Famous monuments made out of granite include the iconic Mount Rushmore in USA, the Avukana Buddha statue in Sri Lanka and The Colossal Red Granite Statue of Amenhotep III in Egypt and more recently, The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain in Hyde Park, London, United Kingdom. Alaska White granite is available in polished and honed finishes as standard and special finishes such as Satinato, Flamed and Bush Hammered are supplied to order.
