GH1F Ceiling Track Hoist

by Multicare Medical Ltd

The GH1F is a portable ceiling hoist designed to be moved easily between rooms using its dedicated transport trolley. It features an automatic attachment and detachment system, allowing the hoist to connect to the rail without caregivers lifting, stretching, or manually positioning the unit. This reduces manual handling risks and simplifies hoist deployment across multiple spaces.

Available with 205 kg and 255 kg Safe Working Loads, the GH1F provides a flexible alternative to installing fixed hoists in every room. Rail systems can be installed in several rooms while using only a small number of GH1F lifting modules, offering an efficient and cost-effective solution for environments with varied care needs.

The hoist charges via a wall-mounted docking station using the handset, and a fully charged module can complete multiple lifts during day-to-day use. The GH1F is compatible with most Guldmann track layouts, including straight ceiling-mounted tracks, wall-mounted tracks, and wall-post systems. (Note: the GH1F is not compatible with tracks fitted with Combi-lock units.)

With the same core functionality as the GH1 ceiling hoist, the GH1F provides a reliable lifting solution for care homes, education environments, and domestic adaptations where flexibility, safety, and efficient asset utilisation are priorities.

The GH1F is a portable ceiling hoist module that can be transferred between multiple rooms using its dedicated transport trolley. It auto-attaches to the rail system without manual lifting, reducing handling risks for staff.

The GH1F is available in 205 kg, and 255 kg versions, allowing the lifting capacity to be matched to the needs of different rooms or user groups.

The hoist engages and disengages from the track automatically, without carers lifting or aligning the unit manually. This reduces the risk of strain injuries and reduces user error during connection.

The GH1F can be used on most Guldmann straight tracks, ceiling-mounted tracks, wall-mounted tracks, and wall-post systems.
Note: It is not compatible with rail systems fitted with Combi-lock transfer units.

Although the hoist is portable, the rail systems must still be fixed to a load-bearing structure (steel, joists, or reinforced supports). Structural verification is required in the same way as for fixed hoists.

The GH1F is generally used on straight-track systems where rooms share hoisting requirements. It can sometimes be used on multi-track systems, but compatibility should be checked during design.

The GH1F is ideal for care homes, therapy rooms, education settings, smaller clinics, and domestic properties where a single hoist may need to serve several rooms without installing a dedicated hoist in each space.

The hoist charges via a wall-mounted docking station using the handset. A fully charged unit is capable of multiple lifts during normal daily use.

No. The hoist is moved using a transport trolley, and the auto-attachment system eliminates lifting, carrying, or overhead reaching for staff.

Yes, it provides the same lifting performance as the GH1, but its primary advantage is its ability to be transferred between rooms when needed.

Yes. As with all lifting equipment, the GH1F requires LOLER inspections every six months, including the track systems it connects to.
