University of Hull

Langley Design worked with Vinci on the £92 million University of Hull (West Campus), in which a former car park was transformed into a vibrant new student quarter linked to the main university campus. The newly built student accommodation, which features 1,462 one-bed apartments, required a mix of secured cycle shelters and bin stores. As a leading UK manufacturer of secured timber units, we put together a range of single story, two tier and combination bin store and cycle parking structures. We were able to provide a solution to house as many cycle parking spaces as possible, using our increased height units for the two tier racks and our bespoke combination structures which accommodate both bikes and bins. Both of these enable the architect and client to have the aesthetics they require whilst also reducing the overall cost of the project.
