Swan School in Oxford is the first new secondary school in Oxford since the 1960s and caters for 1,260 students. As specialists in the education sector, we were approached by Galliford Try as there was a requirement for cycle parking facilities on this £30 million project. The school wanted a vast amount of cycle parking and Langley Design worked closely with ADP and Galliford Try to make sure we put forward the right products for this scheme. By manufacturing and installing timber cycle shelters, we were able to create a much softer aesthetic that ties in beautifully with the surrounding cladding. The contrast between Langley’s galvanised steel hoops and the timber structures creates a striking visual.
