Langley Design were asked by the Space Studio School to enhance their existing external areas by putting forward some suggestions that would enable the school to provide extra seating areas for their students. Langley Design wanted to create a relaxing social space for the students to enjoy the outdoors and hang out in a fun atmosphere with friends. One of the key drivers from the school was to provide something that didn’t require additional maintenance, nor a costly installation with foundations having to be poured. Langley, with great input from the school directly decided upon designing an array of seating options and arrangements that used black recycled plastic and grey granite plinths to hit the design brief. This ultra- modern style of seating is becoming very popular with Councils and Schools across the UK. It comes in a range of colours, lasts a lifetime and requires little to no maintenance. As Langley Design are a bespoke manufacturer, we were able to produce the benches in various different layouts that tied in with the existing landscape. Space Studio were delighted with the concept and how quickly we could complete the installation on site. A great job all round by the Langley Design team!
