Rother Valley Country Park

Langley Design are increasingly working direct with local councils, so when Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council approached us

to help with one of their beautiful country parks, we were delighted to offer some seating solutions. Rother Valley Country Park offers

scenic cycle routes and walking trails, accompanied by sprawling lakes providing activities such as canoeing, jet skiing & paddle

boarding, there is plenty for all to enjoy. Outside the Café there was a paved area that was bare and wasn’t being utilised. They

needed furniture that could be placed on the paving and would be wheelchair accessible. At Langley Design we can always adapt

our products to accommodate specific requirements, so we altered our Sheldon Picnic Tables (SPT311) extending the picnic tabletop

by 500mm, allowing all users to enjoy the glorious views whilst relaxing or having a spot of lunch. As this was an existing paved area,

we utilised our plinth mounted fixing option for all the furniture, requiring no foundations, the picnic table sets can be simply resin

bonded to a firm level engineered base. Offering a robust and long-lasting finish the Treated Class 4 Redwood timber tops were a

durable and cost effective answer for the Café’s users and made these products the perfect fit.
