Lister Community School

Lister Community School, is a specialist Music & Science School with almost 1,500 students, situated in Plaistow East London. The new development has created a three-storey Performing Arts wing to the existing building, which includes a double-height Dance Studio & an outside Performance Landscape. Langley Design worked with Rivington Street Studio and Neilcott Construction to provide a range of Street Furniture for the new building and landscaped areas. As a bespoke manufacturer, we can engage with the Architect at the early stages of a project to adapt or re-imagine any of our standard products to meet specific site requirements and fit into the schemes landscaped areas. This ensures a smooth transition of our specified items from design, through to procurement, delivery, and installation of the final products.

Langley Design supplied a number of our Sheldon Benches (SBN307 & SBN304) & Tables (SPT311) throughout the site to enable students to relax, learn, socialise and dine in the schools’ external areas. The provision of our plinth-mounted benches in straight, curved, and circular arrangements creates an interesting and diverse visual environment. Utilising the same Class 4 Treated Redwood timbers we also produced our SCS301 Cycle Shelter to cover the pupils cycles during the school days and various size Sheldon SPL305 planters to allow for additional planting in the urbanised location.
