East Park, Exeter University

28-01-2022

East Park is a new development for the University of Exeter University which was designed, built, funded and now operated by the University Partnerships Programme. This new facility provides 1,182 new modern bedrooms for the students and is just a short walk away from the Streatham Campus. Langley Design worked with Vinci Construction and Stride Treglown on this £91 million project to develop a full package of cycle parking and bin store structures situated around the campus in sympathy with the character and materiality of the existing buildings. Using our bespoke manufacturing capabilities, we designed the fully enclosed and secured cycle shelters and bin stores in class 4 treated timber to match the biophilic design requirements of both the client and architect in a range of bespoke sizes. In addition to this, we added weldmesh to the inside of each cycle store for added security, another custom-made feature that we can add to all of our in house manufactured units.
