Langley Design were pleased to work with Sir Robert McAlpine on the £42 million Durham University Mathematical Science & Computer Science Building project. This state-of-the-art building covers an area of approximately 9,100m2 and is located on former agricultural land. The new facility will house a vast array of amenities including teaching & lecture theatres, student learning zones & seminar rooms, research & computer labs, a library, catering facilities, and finally social/breakout areas. Our Sheldon Cycle Shelter (SCS309) was specified by Oobe Landscape Architects to provide fully enclosed secure cycle parking facilities for the students.
Manufactured in our Production Facility in the Cotswolds, using structurally graded Class 4 Treated Redwood with galvanised and powder coated steel legs, the shelter not only looks aesthetically pleasing but also offers a long lasting solution and gives the students peace of mind that their bicycles stored in a safe & dry place. Our structures also come with full structural calculations and wind & slow loadings, so you can be sure our Cycle Stores will remain safe and functional well into the future. As a bespoke manufacturer, we are able to offer a flexible approach and problem solving ethos to a range of built environments and sectors. With a wide range of standard products and in-house design capability Langley Design are ready and waiting to aide on your next project.
