Canalside (Purple), Woking

Canalside ‘Purple Phase’ is a major regeneration of the 74 acre site located in Sheerwater. Consisting of 82no. six storey apartment blocks and 10no. three storey townhouses arranged around a central courtyard the development also provided resident car parking underneath the podium deck with beautifully landscaped gardens above. Part of the wider redevelopment of the Woking area, Canalside provides a vibrant and sustainable community hub including mixed accommodation, nursery school, leisure centre with external pitches and a 4 hectare public park at the heart of the project.

Langley Design provided main contractor Gilbert Ash our classic Sheldon SPT302 Picnic Table. With durable hardwood Iroko timber slats and a galvanised finish to the heavy duty steel frame, this 6 seater unit provides a stable and sturdy solution to the high use external areas, combining its modern look with great functionality. Suitable for use in a wide range of settings, whether as social seating, dining provision or in a public realm or commercial space, our range of materials and finish options ensures we can cater to your specific requirements and budgets. As a bespoke manufacture we can provide a full suite of street furniture solutions, manufactured and built in our Wiltshire based Production facility Langley can supply and install across the UK.
