The Axis Academy in Crewe, is one of several projects Henry Boot Construction delivered under the £4.4bn framework and provides 48 pupils with the space and facilities to learn in a safe and welcoming environment. Working alongside Henry Boot, we manufactured and installed a wide range of street furniture products such as recycling bins, canopies and door barriers. The landscape design was created by AJM Architects. Our timber canopy with clear polycarbonate roofing provides a sheltered outdoor seating and play area for the children to enjoy. Another benefit of Langley Design’s flexible approach to manufacture saw the galvanised metalwork powder coated to match the window and door frames. This allows the canopy to tie in with the overall colour scheme of the building. As the school has a vibrant and colourful logo, we powder coated the door barriers and bollards to match. The various colours allowed us to create a really striking visual impact for a typically functional item.
