Magply is a non-corrosive, water-resistant, breathable and A1 non-combustible board. This combination along with its strength and durability makes Magply the perfect passive fire protection board for any application.
Magply can be used as a Racking board for Timber frame at standard and narrower nailing centres and has been tested with both mineral fibre and PIR in the stud and achieved 91 minutes and 75 minutes fire integrity respectively.
Magply is perfect for other offsite manufacturing too as it is easier to use than most competitive boards as it can be scored and snapped.
Magply has achived 67 minutes fire integrity on a loaded wall and no other board has had this remarkable result and by using Magply on both sides, you will gain the following:
Solution which is 12.5kg/m * lighter than standard Plasterboard
No need to stagger joints
Reduction in labour costs
Less materials to be stored
Lower transport costs
Thinner solution on 89mm stud: 107mm instead of 139mm
This combination can be used for apartments, schools, hospitals, care homes and much more.
Magply has also been tested to BS 476 Part 22 for spandrel panels and achieved 104 minutes fire integrity.
Magply is suitable for outside weather exposure for a minimum of 3 months
Magply can also be used for column protection, soffit lining, lift shaft lining and passive fire protection for Walls, floors and ceilings.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that IPP Black Mountain is consulted before specifying.
