Alumaflex is a BBA certified multifoil insulation, certified for Pitched Roofs and Timber Frame Walls. Alumaflex is an excellent vapour barrier which reflects 95% of radiant energy away from its surface keeping the building it is installed in, cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, reducing cooling and heating costs. Alumaflex is simple to use, simply unroll, staple, overlap and tape, ensuring a minimum 25mm airspace either side of the material. By using Alumaflex, the overall thickness of PIR is reduced and all energy transfers are covered in an effective way as well as adding that vital vapour barrier to protect the structure which is much more effective than underdrawing with PIR or with a proprietary VCL.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that IPP Black Mountain is consulted before specifying.
