What is IOBAC?

IOBAC is a fast, efficient, sustainable way to install flooring. Using magnetised carpet or vinyl tiles on IOBAC metallised surfaces, without the need for Adhesives.

Why?

In the retail sector, time is money and time taken to install, repair and replace floors has meant that retailers have been reluctant to refurbish their floors. Retail is an image conscious, fashion led sector , where store appearance is designed to entice customers. Old damaged floors do not entice customers. IOBAC has recognised this problem and developed a speedy alternative to traditional installation methods.

Is it environmentally friendly?

Environmental issues dominate the interiors market and whilst there are some great floor finish products available, until IOBAC, they all needed to be bonded to the floor with adhesive making them extremely difficult to recycle. With IOBAC there is no adhesive and no contamination of the floor finish making post use recycling simple.

Will it save me time?

You can instantly change a vinyl or carpet tile without the need to remove or apply adhesives and levelling compounds, so there is no need to close an area down resulting in no loss of revenue to the client. Time is also saved within the build programme as the IOBAC resin is water permeable and can be applied to damp subfloors up to 95% relative humidity (negating the requirement for a surface damp proof membrane), taking considerable time and cost out of the flooring programme.

What if I wish to change my floor?

The floor covering surface can be changed quickly for aesthetic reason and for replacement if damaged. A floor section can be easily adapted for an in-store promotion.

Is there a warranty?

An IOBAC floor, installed by and approved company, is warrantied for a minimum of 10 years. This warranty is given by the IOBAC manufacturing partners and is a minimum of 10 years but can be extended to 15 upon inspection.
