CoirMat 400B Biodegradable Erosion Control Mat

CoirMat™ erosion control blankets are an economic solution for protection against soil and seed loss and promotion of revegetation on areas of disturbed ground.

The CoirMat™ blanket range consist of a layer of coconut fibre encased in jute or polypropylene nets that are stitched together. While the TRM version also incorporates a corrugated polypropylene mesh to provide permanent reinforcement to the vegetation root matrix.

Once applied, CoirMat™ erosion control blankets give immediate protection against wind and water erosion and promote the establishment of vegetation. Coir absorbs and stores moisture, which is then released to the plants in dry periods. It also conserves moisture in the soil and provides insulation. Plant development is thus strongly promoted.
