Jacobean Strapwork Ceilings

Jacobean Strapwork Ceilings are a Hayles & Howe speciality. We are frequently commissioned to recreate bespoke, new ceilings based on Tudor or Jacobean originals.
At the perimeter of the ceiling we can if necessary, provide a plain cornice picking-up on the rib detail of the panels. If desired we can also provide a frieze plate beneath the cornice, creating a stunning, decorative ceiling and upper wall area. (Beams can be incorporated to create coffered ceilings).
Furthermore, because our Ornamental Strapwork Ceilings come in all shapes and sizes and from a wide range of architectural styles, we offer advice to both architects and designers to create an accurate and effective design which aids simple construction of what is sometimes considered a complicated ceiling.
