StepSafe products are manufactured from high grade glass reinforced materials, which reduce the amount of resin required in their production, considerably improving their strength and reducing the embodied carbon.

StepSafe is suitable for use in retail, warehousing and industrial applications and are supplied for site assembled (built up) systems or as a composite factory assembled unit

These GRP in plane rooflights are typically available in a natural translucent finish but may also be tinted in white, blue or green. If required they can be manufactured as opaque in a range of colours for cladding, anti-vision and rainwater screen applications.

StepSafe products are classed as non-fragile and will provide a service and non fragility life* of in excess of 35 years depending upon the chosen specification.


Fire Ratings:

StepSafe is available in the following fire grades:

SAB3: typical requirement for weather skins in a double skin assembly
SAA1: typical requirement for liner panels in a double skin assembly or single skin application
SAA0: currently the highest level of fire retardancy to meet specific fire performance requirements

A roof structure which includes the use of in plane GRP rooflights is classed as non fragile when new providing all of the components used in the assembly have been installed correctly and have passed the test procedures set out in ACR(M)001-2011 [fourth edition] - Test for Non Fragility of Profile Sheeted Roofing Assemblies, and provided that it has already been demonstrated that the roof system (without rooflights) has an equal or better non fragility classification.
