BIOFA Aqualux is solvent free special oil and aqueous paint which is suitable for all types of indoor wood. Thanks to its natural composition of linseed oil and natural resin the surfaces are breathable and easy to renovate. Biofa Aqualux is water-soluble, Satin-sheen, dirt and water-repellent. It has good adhesion and high cover properties. The paint is suited for all woods in indoor applications, like windows, doors, Railings, furniture, interior built-ins, wooden toys etc. It is also suited for metal substrates like radiators and Heating Pipes after having been primed appropriately. It meets EN 71, part 3 (safety of children's toys) and DIN 53160 (perspiration and saliva colour fastness). For renovations it is sufficient to clean the surfaces and to apply a renovation coating.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
Max VOC content: 30 g/l.
Coverage: 80-100 ml/m or 10 -12 m /l.
Container size: 0.375 litre / 0.75 litre / 2.5 litre (metal containers with varnish liner). (5 litre container available for white colour only.)
Colour(s): Factory mix to any RAL or NCS colour code.
Ingredients: Water, titanium oxide, chalk, linseed oil, colophony resin-linseed oil blend, pigments depending on hue, swelling clay, emulsifier, wetting agents, anti-foaming agents, cobalt-polymer drying agent, zirconium drying agent.
Application: Prime untreated wood surfaces with Biofa Undercoat and metal parts, zinc and galvanized surfaces with appropriate corrosion protection paint. Mix thoroughly, then apply with brush or roller.
Drying time: Dust-dry after 6-8 hours, ready for sanding and painting over after 16-24 hours. The paint is fully cured after 7 days.
