Most housing developer’s initial impression of solar power has been supported by the myriad of retrofitted over-tile systems that have been installed, driven by the feed in tariff (FIT).
Fitting such a system to a new carefully designed property seems contrary to the philosophy of modern visually pleasing designs, but at the same time they wish to produce a home that is efficient to run and that utilises renewable technology that also helps to achieve this aim.
GB-Sol produces an aesthetic solution to this dilemma, the RIS roof integrated system.
By integrating the panels into the fabric of the roof and producing panels that are complimentary to the structure, the array will fit in well with most modern designs.
The RIS system is an integrated system and fits directly to the battens, or decking, of a new home so the developer only has to provide a suitable roof elevation (facing somewhere between East through the ideal South direction to West) to install an array.
The system is supplied complete with Flashings and once installed the roofer just treats it like a large roof light and tiles around the array.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that GB SOL is consulted before specifying.
