Unicorn Letterplate

The attractive design of the Unicorn Letterplate co-ordinates with other Trojan products to provide a comprehensive suite, including Door Handles, patio door handles, French door handles, Window Handles and Door Hinges.

The Unicorn letterplate gives the user the ability to open the flap to 180 eliminating excessive leverage on pivots; this provides much greater durability and increased functionality.

The design and construction is unique with pressed metal flaps that shroud the surround, improving appearance. The ergonomically folded edge of the flap also products comfort and ease of use.

Strength and durability are increase by the use of Stainless Steel torsion springs rather than a conventional Plastic type. Also, a detachable clamping screw boss allows for an alternative direct face fitting to the profile.

Testing:


Water Tightness Test: in line with BS EN 13724:2013 (indicative testing)

Flap Cycle Test: Tested to 100,000 cycles

Abusive Pull Test: Where load is applied to the letter flap to simulate someone pulling a door closed, the Unicorn Letter Plate achieves loads in excess of twice that of conventional plastic pivot/torsion spring designs.

Corrosion: BS EN 1670:1998 Grade 5 480 salt spray
