Armchair with wooden frame, upholstered with a new multi-color fabric designed by Alessandro Mendini. Created in 1978 for the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara, Proust was immediately recognized as an icon of 20th century design and revered as one of the most renowned and essential reference points in the quest for form and aesthetic perfection. Cappellini inherited the piece in 1993 and today Proust Geometrica, upholstered and hand-finished the armchair according to tradition, while preserving the forms of the original armchair. This revitalized piece gained a refreshing new life while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
