Balustrades

balustrades are designed to provide edge protection to stairs, landings, lightwells, ramps and any other circumstance where there is a possibility of a fall. Modern glass balustrades minimise the visual weight of the balustrade which could otherwise subtract from the aesthetics of the internal finishes or external view.

With specialist balustrade details the main concern is the fixing detail and the ability to transfer the imposed handrail loading through to the superstructure, As such our team have produced a range of standard fixing details which are fully tested to ensure compliance with the necessary regulations.

Balustrade glass can be supplied in a toughened finish when incorporated with a handrail or toughened/laminated where a handrail is not required (subject to local authority approval obtained through your Architect or project Manager). Our in-house design and project management team will work with you and your construction team from initial concept creation through to site completion.
