BAT - U - Nail Plate is a plate system that enables timber structures to be made on-site or in the builders' workshop, as it is nailed by hand. Installation RequirementsBAT - U - Nail Plates are to be fixed on both sides of the timber. Fixing: Use BAT 3.75 x 30mm long square twisted sherardised nails loading in the direction of the plate stiffening ribs. Nails 345 N/nail (parallel to timber grain)145 N/nail (perpendicular to timber grain)Fix in accordance with BS 5268 : Part 2Plate compression value 40 N/mm width of the plate.
