Hydras

by Biasi UK
Biasi offer a wide range of unvented cylinders under our Hydras brand. There are two ways to heat water within a cylinder, either directly or indirectly. Direct means you use an electric heater (immersion heater) to heat the water within the cylinder. Indirect relies on a secondary heat source i.e a boiler or solar collectors. Hot water from this source is pumped through a coil within the cylinder, transferring the heat to the water within the cylinder. There is also an immersion heater back up for topping up the heat when required. Biasi offer a range of system boilers that would work extremely well with any biasi cylinder, and in the case of solar, our inovia can also boost the outlet temperature of the water within the cylinder as required. The temperature & pressure relief valve that comes with the cylinder is a safety device to back up the thermostats, sensing any excess in either temperature or pressure and releasing hot water into a tundish and drain. All cylinders come supplied with the correct sized pressure vessel, preventing any damage to the control valves. The none return valve ensures the water expansion is forced into the expansion vessel and prevents the contamination of your incoming cold water supply. In the unlikely event of the expansion vessel failing, the expansion relief valve will discharge water to the discharge tundish. All cylinders over 200ltr have a secondary return boss fitted as standard, enabling the hot water to be recycled within the system, giving you instant hot water at the tap.
