The VP Traffic bollard system can operate between speeds of 4-8 seconds raise and lower time. This bollard system can be used in conjunction with multiple different system options to control traffic within a specific area.
The bollard itself consists of a square outer casing complete with cable and drainage duct outlets, an inner bollard of a heavy Steel cylindrical tube and an aesthetic polyurethane sleeve. The inner post is also available in stainless-steel if preferred.
The control system options available to drive the bollard are vast. This automatic bollard system is incredibly flexible, reliable and can be used for a multitude of applications such as; car park access control, preventing traffic from entering a specified area completely or during a certain time, to create pedestrian friendly areas within city centres, integration with existing measures such as automated gates or Rising Arm barriers and to segregate bus lanes from free flow traffic to name just a few.
The VP Traffic range is approved by the Department of Transport, Highways Agency and was the first fully approved dynamic bollard to be installed within a UK public highway.
The product can also be supplied with an LED Lighting band to increase visibility even further. The colour of the lighting band to be advised at point of sale. Lights can only be supplied with the Stainless-steel version.
Fully operational within city centres across the UK, just a few of the many installations include Manchester, Liverpool, Cambridge and Surrey County Councils. The Cambridge installation has now been operational for over 10 years.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that ATG Access is consulted before specifying.
