PhonoClip is a sound isolation clip, to use with the PhonoBoard or a standard drywall product to minimise points of contact with the existing structure.
PhonoClip is a high performing, yet extremely cost effective sound reduction system. This acoustic Isolation Clip is designed to isolate walls and ceilings from the construction over a range of frequencies. Essentially a wall or ceiling mounted anti-vibration (AV) mount, it prevents vibrations from passing the furring bar and isolation clip whilst creating a stable and secure construction.
PhonoClip design is especially attractive as it requires just one single fixing per clip, therefore minimising contact with the existing construction and also easing installation requirements. Additionally the single fixing point drastically reduces the risk of error as the fixing is clearly visible, therefore ensuring a consistent acoustic performance throughout.
In cases where the project is space sensitive, the PhonoClip and associated Furring Bar are a must buy, taking just 39mm from the project. Not only does the clips low profile design allow for tight installations, but the slimline clip doesn t trade off it s load bearing for that benefit. Allowing 16.4kg load per PhonoClip is one of the strongest on the market if not the best, whilst being one of the slimmest. With a design load rating of 16.4kg per clip, the PhonoClip can support up to two layers of 15mm acoustic rated gypsum board.
Please note that these product properties are not a replacement for the manufacturer's literature and it is always recommended that Acuphon is consulted before specifying.
