Erosamat Type 2

Erosamat Type 2 is a heavy duty long life coir biodegradable erosion mat. It is designed to prevent soil erosion and and help establish new vegetation on areas of loose soil and in situations of high run-off and high water velocity.

Erosamat Type 2 is ideal for use where plant development could be slow i.e late season planting or poor fertility soil. It can also be used where extremes of temperature may be experienced making it suitable for use in a broad range of climatic conditions.

Erosamat Type 2 is manufactured from coir, a 100% biodegradable natural product and one of natures strongest fibres. It will maintain its tensile strength even when submerged, making it suitable for use in applications such as river beds, and is resistant to UV degradation.

The coir in Erosamat Type 2 is resistant to mold and rot and will degrade very slowly over a period of 5-10 years, providing plenty of time for the vegetation to establish even on very poor quality soils.
