The typical low-profile barrel vault is an elegant low rise arc spanning between supporting structures. The normal geometry for low rise is usually stated as the radius of the arch being equal to the span of the arch, although other geometries are also possible.
Can be glazed in a range of polycarbonate options - from solid single skin for canopies and unheated spaces, to multi-wall structured giving exceptional thermal performance for Part ‘L’ compliance.
Finished in powder white as standard, other options available on request.
Metal parts can also be colour coated with polyester powders, PVF2 or anodised.
Ends can be finished off with vertical glazed screens or simply abut an adjoining structure.
The spanning performance quoted assumes the rooflight is constructed with a standard low-profile geometry and is self supporting; much larger spans can be achieved although a substructure for additional support would then be required.
