Burlington Blue Grey Slate has been quarried in the English Lake District for more than 300 Years from slate deposits formed during the Silurian Period, over 330 million years ago. The current company was formed in 1843 by consolidating several independent smaller operations into the world renowned company of today.

It is still owned and run by the descendants of the original Cavendish family. UK Slate are extremely pleased and proud to be able to offer this high quality slate from our UK distribution depots.

Burlington Blue Grey Slate is supplied in two main selections – Bests and Strongs.

Both being available in a wide range of size options.

Traditionally in Diminishing Courses x Random Widths but also in Fixed Lengths x Random Widths and Single Sizes which are referred to as “patterns”

The slate is fully tested to BSEN12326-1:2004 and attains A1, T1 & S1 certification.
