Since its inception here in the UK the Window Energy Rating (WER) scheme has offered consumers a straight-forward way to understand the energy efficiency of windows, using an A to G ‘traffic light’ system, often seen on many other products, such as houses and white goods.

For many years double glazed A-rated (green) windows were rightly considered as being among the most efficient available, with the England and Wales Building Regulations stipulating that all replacement windows should be C-rated or better if any of the existing windows are replaced. However, A+ and A++ windows have since superceded A-rated windows as the most energy efficient available under the WER scheme, due in no small part to ongoing product development, Hazlemere Window Company Ltd is pleased to be able offer these best-in-class products to its highly valued customers.
